We are almost 1/2 way through 2026!
It totally sneaks up on you, doesn't it?
Most agents I'm talking to right now are worried about not doing enough business this year.
However, I've found that most aren't asking themselves the most important question...
“What happens if my business actually grows?”
We, humans, tend to always look at the negative that could happen, instead of the positive. I believe it is what holds most people back from their full potential.
What if.....
What if I got more leads, more clients, more transactions???? Your head says: I couldn't handle it! I'll be overwhelmed.
This is what Fear of Success looks like.
I've been there. I completely understand that fear. What I learned is that fear isn't real. It's manufactured in our minds as a protective mechanism. Otherwise known as a "hallucination"
And...It is also easier than you think to overcome... continue reading.
The real estate industry doesn't teach what you need to know to feel confident and be successful in this business. So what happens...
You start selling and you are good at it, but you are acting as a one man traveling band
- Everything lives in your head
- Client communication starts slipping
- You’re working nights and weekends
- You’re losing control of your life
A business that depends entirely on you is not scalable. This is why you may do 20 deals a year and hit a ceiling.
And eventually, it’s not sustainable either. You are feeling burnt out. Your family is pissed because you are always on your phone or your laptop. You walk out of restaurants to take phone calls or worse yet.... You take them at the table!! (please tell me you don't do that)
There is a SIMPLE FIX
Start with one simple business mission statement:
I (We) will accomplish X by Y doing Z.
Example:
I will close 24 transactions this year by consistently working inside my CRM, connecting to people I already know and improving my follow-up systems.
Stupid Simple.
Ultra Clear NOT Complicated.
Easily Measured.
Then build your business around solving the operational gaps preventing that outcome. One solution at a time.
Example: Now that I've spent real time in my database I can see I need to segment my people into Stages, Sources, Tags to filter quickly when I'm working in it.
Nothing special. Nothing hard. No new shiny objects needed. Not another social media trend. Not another expensive software subscription you’ll barely use.
Structure first. Then scale.
Solution from this small daily habit: You can now add another person to help you set appointments. Why? because you have an organized database with a simple process to do so that can be trained on. It's THAT SIMPLE.
QUICK WIN:
Take 15 minutes this week and write down:
- What your actual business goal is for June, for 3rd quarter, for rest of 2026? (that's 3 separate goals that all tie together)
- What operational problem is slowing you down?
- The ONE process in your business currently creating the most stress
- The ONE action (if you did it daily) you KNOW 100% it would put you on a successful trajectory
That exercise alone will give you more clarity than another 3-hour YouTube rabbit hole or 5 virtual masterminds.
REMINDER: These simple plans are meant to build consistency that can then be duplicated by you and others you start to surround yourself with. This isn't just a 2026 business plan... This is a Business LIFE plan.
You don’t need to have everything figured out today.
But you do need to start building a business that can support where you want to be tomorrow.
Committed to Your Success!
Best,
Y.
Curious what others have to say?
